Hungry Jack’s Nutrition Information
Following up on the McDonalds information comes the same thing for Hungry Jack’s. Same deal, the worst possible meal deal. Unfortunately for this test, there was no information available for the Triple Bacon Deluxe… however I’ve contacted HJ’s about this. As the meal combinations are quite varied, I’m limiting it to “Main + Fries + Soda”. The meal: Large Double Whopper with Cheese meal with a Fanta.
Energy (kJ): 4150 + 1902 + 1450 = 7502 (86% RDI)
Protein (g): 53.8 + 11.1 + 1 = 65.9 (132% RDI)
Fat (g): 65.1 + 21.9 + 1 = 88 (126% RDI)
Saturated Fat (g): 25.1 + 11 + 1 = 37.1 (154% RDI)
Carbohydrate (g): 46.9 + 57.7 + 84.9 = 189.5 (61% RDI)
Sugars (g): 12.4 + 0.7 + 84.9 = 98 (109% RDI)
Sodium (mg): 1440 + 300 + 94 = 1834 (80% RDI)
Note: Some of these values were “less than”.
Conclusion: The burgers may be better at Hungry Jack’s, but they’re not better for you! Why is McDonald’s getting all of the bad press as far as nutrition is concerned???
